Wat de Europese regels vragen

Materialen die met eten of drinken in aanraking komen, mogen volgens de Europese regels geen stoffen afgeven in hoeveelheden die schadelijk zijn. De waterfles en de mok zijn daarop getest door URS Products and Testing. De kan en de beker komen uit dezelfde werkplaats en zijn van hetzelfde koper gemaakt.

Waar koper voor bedoeld is

Koperen drinkgerei is gemaakt voor stil water, thee en koffie. Zure dranken zoals citroenwater, frisdrank, vruchtensap en sportdrank horen er niet in, omdat zuur koper oplost. Bewaar ook geen eten in koper. Gebruik je het zoals bedoeld, dan is het een materiaal voor dagelijks gebruik.

Schoon en droog bewaren

Was het drinkgerei na gebruik met de hand en droog het goed af. Laat geen water dagenlang staan. Zo blijft het hygiënisch en houdt het koper een gelijkmatige kleur. Voor dagelijks gebruik met water uit de kraan is er ook koperen drinkgerei voor kraanwater.

Each of the four comes smooth and hammered, both shown above. You choose the finish when you order; what the difference between smooth and hammered actually does to the surface is in smooth or hammered copper.

If you mostly drink on the move, the water bottle is the obvious first choice. If you share the water with a household, the jug pours for everyone at once. For hot tea or coffee, take the mug with the handle. And to keep the ritual as simple as it gets, the cup is the original form: fill, leave, drink.
