Terms and Conditions
These terms apply to everything you order from Kopero. They are here to make clear what you may expect from us and what we expect from you. Where the law gives you more rights than these terms do, those statutory rights apply.
1. Who we are
Kopero is a trading name of JL Enterprises, Torenlaan 5, 1402 AT Bussum, the Netherlands, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 76478378, VAT number NL003088877B89. You can reach us at info@kopero.nl. In these terms we call ourselves "we" and you "you".
2. Offer and prices
Prices on the website are in euros and include VAT. Shipping costs are added separately; you see them before you complete your order and they are also listed in our shipping policy.
We do our best to keep prices, photos and descriptions correct. If there is an obvious error in them anyway, for example a price that is clearly wrong, we are not obliged to deliver at that price. We will tell you as soon as possible and you get your money back if you have already paid.
An offer or discount campaign applies for as long as it is on the website and while stocks last.
3. How the agreement is formed
Your order is an offer to us. The agreement is in place as soon as we confirm your order by email. If you do not receive a confirmation within a day, something has gone wrong; email us and we will sort it out.
We may refuse or cancel an order, for example if a product is no longer available or if we have reason to doubt the order. You will hear from us and your payment will be returned.
4. Payment
You pay for your order in the shop, using one of the payment methods shown at checkout. We only ship after payment has been received.
If you pay by a method where you pay afterwards and the payment does not arrive, we first send you a reminder with a period of fourteen days to pay after all. If you still do not pay, we may charge statutory interest and collection costs. We calculate those costs according to the Dutch decree on compensation for extrajudicial collection costs, with the minimum amounts stated in it.
5. Delivery
We ship to the countries you can select at checkout. Delivery times are an estimate, not a firm commitment. If it takes longer than thirty days and we have not agreed otherwise with you, you may give us a reasonable additional period; if we miss that too, you may cancel the order and get your money back.
Risk passes at the moment you or someone you have designated takes receipt of the parcel. So if a parcel is damaged or lost on the way, that is at our expense. Let us know and we will fix it.
If something is not right about what you received, for example a wrong or damaged product, email us with a photo. It will not cost you anything extra.
6. Thirty days to change your mind
You have thirty days to change your mind after receiving your order. Within that period you may withdraw from the purchase without giving a reason. The law prescribes fourteen days; we give you thirty.
The period starts on the day after you or someone you have designated received the last product of your order.
You tell us by email at info@kopero.nl, or with the model form below. A clear statement is enough; the form is not compulsory. You will get a confirmation from us.
After that you have another fourteen days to send the product back. During those thirty days you may try the product out the way you would in a shop. If you use it more than is necessary to judge whether you want to keep it, we may set off the reduction in value against your refund.
The cost of returning is yours, unless we agree otherwise with you. Exactly how returning works is set out in our refund policy.
We refund you within fourteen days of your notification, including the shipping costs you paid on the order. We may wait to refund until we have the product back or until you have shown that you have sent it. You get the money back via the same payment method you paid with, unless you agree something else with us.
7. Model withdrawal form
If you want to withdraw from the purchase, you can use the text below. Fill it in and email it to info@kopero.nl. You may also do it in your own words.

I hereby give notice that I withdraw from our agreement concerning the sale of the following products:

8. Guarantee and conformity
Everything you buy from us has to be what you may reasonably expect: undamaged, complete and fit for normal use. That is the statutory guarantee, and it always applies. There is no fixed end date attached to it: how long you can make a claim depends on what you may expect of that product. You may expect more of a copper water bottle you use every day than of a consumable.
If something is wrong within a year of delivery, the defect is presumed to have been there at delivery, unless we show that it was not.
If a product turns out not to be in order, we repair or replace it free of charge. If that does not work or takes unreasonably long, you get part of your money back or we cancel the purchase. It will not cost you anything extra, shipping costs included.
The guarantee does not cover damage from careless use, from repairs or modifications you carried out yourself, or from use the product was not intended for. Normal wear and tear also falls outside it.
Copper is uncoated and changes colour by itself. That is a property of the material, not a defect; the manual with your product explains how to keep it clean and polish it back if you want to.
9. Complaints
If something has gone wrong, let us know at info@kopero.nl. Describe as clearly as you can what is going on, so we can act on it right away. On working days we respond within 24 hours. If your complaint cannot be resolved straight away, we tell you how long it is going to take.
Report a defect within a reasonable period after you discover it. If you do so within two months, that is in any case in time.
10. Liability
As far as the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount of your order.
That limitation expressly does not apply in cases of intent or conscious recklessness on our part, not to damage from death or personal injury, and not to your statutory rights as a consumer. Statutory product liability also remains fully in force.
The information about copper on our website, in our blogs and in the manuals is general in nature and not medical advice. Our products are not medical devices. If you have health complaints, take medication, are pregnant, or have Wilson's disease or another condition in which copper accumulates, talk to your doctor first.
11. Force majeure
If circumstances beyond our control stop us from delivering, think of a strike at the carrier, a natural disaster or a failure at a supplier, delivery is postponed for as long as that situation lasts. If it takes longer than a month, both you and we may cancel the agreement. You then get back what you paid.
12. Your data
What we do with your data is set out in our privacy policy. We use it to carry out your order and we do not sell it on.
13. Applicable law and disputes
Dutch law applies to our agreements. If you are a consumer living in another EU country, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the law of your own country.
If you cannot work it out with us, you can put your complaint to the European online dispute resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
You can also always bring a dispute before the competent court. As a consumer you may choose the court in the country where you live.
The Vienna Sales Convention does not apply.
14. Changes
We may amend these terms. The terms that applied on the website at the time of ordering always apply to your order.
If a provision of these terms is found by a court to be unreasonably onerous, the remaining provisions continue to apply in full.
