Copper Tensor Ring Guide

Kopero Copper Tensor Ring of 4 cm, twisted ring made of pure copper, product photo on white background

The tensor ring works completely passively: you slide it around the tap or use it separately, without it ever touching the water itself. Below is how to do that, and how to keep the ring clean.

In six steps

  1. Unpack it and polish it once. Wipe the ring with lemon and salt, rinse and dry immediately. This way you start with clean copper.

  2. Measure your tap. The ring is 4 centimeters in diameter and fits around almost any standard kitchen tap. If your spout is thicker, use the ring separately instead.

  3. Slide it around the tap. Place the ring just above the spout. It doesn't need to be fastened and doesn't touch the water itself.

  4. Let the water flow. The water moves through the open center of the ring. Use it for drinking, cooking or watering plants.

  5. Or use it on its own. Place the ring next to a water bottle or glass, put a small object inside it, or hold it in your hand during meditation.

  6. Keep it clean. Wipe the ring with a dry cloth from time to time. If there's limescale on it, polish it off with lemon and salt and dry the ring immediately.

Patina is part of it

Untreated copper can become a bit duller over time, especially in the damp environment around a tap. That's normal; polishing once with lemon and salt restores the shine.

Cleaning

Wipe the ring regularly with a dry cloth to prevent limescale. If it does build up, polish with lemon and salt, rinse and dry immediately.
